Not sure what to do without football in my life. I’m not scouring obscure stats and BS analytics I made up in my mind to make inaccurate picks, so I’m a little bit sad. That being said, let’s recap some things from the week and look forward to the weekend. Not sure how to feel about it, but the fact a bunch of memes completely flipped the Stock Market world upside down cracks me up a bit. I’m not sure what the long term ramifications are, but if the worst thing that happens is a couple suits get pissed off and whine: I’m all for it. Also, it seems highly illegal to keep people from trading in a “free market” like what Robinhood and several other companies did, but what do I know. I don’t know much about investing, but I now know that if someone tells me “to the moon” I need to hammer that stock.
Deshaun Watson
I love Deshaun Watson and would give all of my Dogecoin to have him on the Broncos, but I feel bad for Texans fans. This guy gave you the only glimmer of hope your franchise has had since becoming an expansion team, and folks like Billy O’Stooge and Janice McNair have completely ruined the relationship. Deshaun Watson went from this:
“I’m lost for words, honestly. Been crying a little bit, a lot of bit, really. It’s just an amazing moment for me,” the two-time Pro Bowler said. “The money is amazing. It’s life-changing. It’s great. But the biggest thing is for the (organization) to just trust in me and believe in me that I’m their guy, I’m their quarterback is the biggest thing that really touches me.”
To wanting nothing to do with the team, and who could blame him? That franchise is a joke. I just hope he eats his way out of town like James Harden did.
Other sports
The NBA and NHL are in full force and as soon as I become more educated on these subjects, I might dive deeper into them. The Mets are still a dumpster fire after their creepy GM’s texts were released, Connor McGregor was a meme for a few days, the internet is filled with hilarious Matt Stafford photoshops (come to the Broncos) and College Basketball has consumed my life (again, check out the blogs!!).
Without football I have some ideas with other content to keep myself busy and you entertained during your unscheduled 5 minute break, but I’d love to hear what you’d like to read/talk about. Have a great weekend!
