How ya doin?! It’s been a minute, but I haven’t forgotten about you beautiful SOBs. With football season winding down, I figured it’s time to shift some attention to the greatest 3 week span in sports. I know what you’re thinking, dude we still have 7 football games left and you haven’t posted in months, WTF are you doing. For you people, I politely say–eat my ass, but I understand, I will give you some football picks as well. But for right now, let’s take a look at my masterpiece, shall we?
Last 4 in
Wyoming
I know, this is a stretch, but this is my fuckin’ bracket. This team got screwed by Covid for about a month, but they’ve come back and won three straight, including two nice wins on the road against Utah State and Nevada. They still have 4 opportunities to strengthen their resume with games at Boise and CSU, as well as home games against Utah State and CSU. They also have postponed games against SDSU, Fresno State and Boise State. This team has already outperformed the expectations from Mountain West “experts” like this bozo’s article. They’re 12-seed worthy, eat shit losers.
Arkansas
This team has been highly criticized after a brutal 0-3 start to SEC play. They’ve since won 3 straight, including a win on the road against the 12th ranked LSU Tigers. I expect this team to keep climbing the NCAA bracket and make some noise in the SEC tournament.
San Francisco
Remember when we all thought Gonzaga to the Mountain West was the no-brainer move for them? The WCC has 4 teams in according to this definitive bracket with the Zags, BYU, Saint Mary’s and now San Francisco in the field. A matchup in the first 4 with Wyoming would be an incredible matchup, and either would have a fighting chance against an inconsistent Buckeyes squad.
Mississippi
With quality wins against Alabama and Arkansas, it’s tough to keep the Bulldogs out of the field, but they do feel a bit fraudulent. There are a couple tests on their schedule coming up, including road matchups with Kentucky and Texas Tech to prove themselves.
First 4 out
Creighton
I love the Big East almost as much as I love the Big 12 when it comes to college basketball, but I cannot in good conscious put this inconsistent Creighton team in the field… yet. With wins against Marquette, BYU and Villanova, they already have the resume to make a case, but I have them on the outside looking in.
TCU
If they win one of their next two matchups against Iowa State and Texas, I have to put the Horned Frogs in. This feels like the most disrespected team in the nation, and I’m adding fuel to that fire, but I’m giving them an opportunity to replace one of these softer 12 seeds.
Florida State
They beat Duke last night, I probably need to update this. Fuck Mississippi State, put the ‘Noles in.
Belmont
They got shit pumped by Murray State last weekend, but this team is still 100% worthy of making the tournament. They’ll have a rematch against the Racers in February, but the Ohio Valley might be worthy of 2 tournament bids.
