Weekend Grind

I was ready to give up gambling altogether after Saturday. I was exhausted, defeated and was about to give up the Flush picks…but for you…the people, we grinded and came up with a winning Sunday to save the future of this terrible blog. Thank you. Not the best slate, but a great come down from this weekend.

Too Long, Didn’t Read

Game of the Night: Northern Kentucky vs Purdue Fort Wayne

Picks
Delaware+5
Louisiana-Lafayette +3
Chattanooga -2.5
Oral (lol) Roberts +1
Santa Clara +4.5

Game of the Night

Northern Kentucky vs Purdue Fort Wayne +2.5 (134)

As an ambassador for the Horizon Hagen League, I’m biased when I say this is the game of the night. Other people will be preoccupied with the Gonzaga ass whoopin’ over San Francisco, but not you Flush readers. No, you will be busy watching 2 teams duke it out for a chance to go to the final in one of the most prestigious leagues. I have Purdue Fort Wayne in a future bet to win the Horizon Hagen League, I guess I’ll roll with them tonight, cautiously, against a very good Northern Kentucky team.

Picks

Delaware+5 vs Towson (137)

I’m treading very lightly with this game. Towson is a fucking wagon and have won 8 straight games, including against this Delaware team, UNC Wilmington and Charleston. This is just too many points for a good Delaware team. They lost 3 games down the stretch to really good teams in conference, but had won 8 of their last 11 prior to that. This will be a great game between two teams in the top half of the nation in scoring.

Louisiana-Lafayette+3.5 vs Georgia State (132.5)

This is the “can’t beat ’em, join ’em” pick of the night. The Ragin Cajuns took down both my picks to win the Sun Belt and my sub-.500 sneaky pick in UT Arlington. Feel free to fade this one, Georgia State has won 9 straight games, but this is personal between me and the team I refuse to call the University of Louisiana.

Furman vs Chattanooga -2.5 (137)

No matter what, we’ve made money in this conference, congratulations. Surprisingly, the two best teams are actually playing for the title in this conference. I like the Mocs, they’ve been as high as a 12 seed in my bracket. Take the fighting Terrell Owens.

Oral (lol) Roberts +1 vs North Dakota State (150.5)

At least we still have some comedic relief for the time being with Morehead (lol) losing to Murray State this weekend. I like the value with Oral Roberts moneyline here, I can’t believe they’re dawgs. Snap my neck, Vegas.

Santa Clara +4.5 vs Saint Mary’s (138)

Santa Clara is the most overlooked team in this conference. While everyone else was giving San Francisco the gluck-gluck 3000, SC has wins against Cal State Fullerton, Stanford, TCU, Montana, BYU, and Saint Mary’s. Trap game for the Gaels and too many points for Santa Clara.

Let’s build on that momentum from yesterday and continue to kill the books. Love you, bye.
