1 Kansas vs 16 Texas Southern
I would not be surprised if Texas Southern covers whatever spread Vegas comes out with here (+21.5). They’re an underseeded team, but Kansas is a wagon. Jayhawks by 15.
8 San Diego State vs 9 Creighton
This is going to be a rock fight. I trust San Diego States offense to generate more against Creighton’s set defense than vice versa (or however you spell that shit). Hammer the under, probably.
5 Iowa vs 12 Richmond
This is not my 12 over 5 upset. I love Iowa and think they’re ridiculously underseeded after running through the B1G tournament. They’ve got the most dangerous combination of lenth and speed in comparison to everyone else in this tourney. Hammer the over in every game they play, especially against a Richmond team who only has 3 days to prepare for them.
4 Providence vs 13 South Dakota State
If you actually read this blog (first of all, thank you), then you know how much I’ve stood on the table for Providence when everyone else has called them the “luckiest” team in the nation. They were exposed a bit in the Big East tournament and have to play an absolute wagon in South Dakota State. I like the Jackrabbits, and I like them to win BIG in this one.
6 LSU vs 11 Iowa State
LSU doesn’t need a coach to win this game. This will be a rock fight, but as a Cyclone supporter, I’ll be the first to say they probably shouldn’t be in this tournament. Luckily the Big 12 was such a gauntlet they stacked up a ton of Q1 wins, but they’ll get bounced fairly easily by LSU here. Offensive inefficiencies plagued ISU all year long, they might only score 20 against this Tiger defense.
3 Wisconsin vs 14 Colgate
This is what I’ve been complaining about when I was talking about Wright State and Bryant being underseeded. Colgate was a clear 16 seed all year long by about every bracketologist and they get a 14 seed here. Their non-conference schedule was atrocious, and they ran through a conference whose best competition was Navy and Army (no offense, Boston U). Badgers by a billy.
7 USC vs 10 Miami
I’ve stood up for the ACC this year, they got shit on pretty hard outside of Duke, but this is a different animal. Isaiah Mobley is a man amongst boys on the court and is going to give the Hurricanes fits. This might be a bloodbath.
2 Auburn vs 15 Jacksonville State
Jacksonville State should not be here. They were bounced in the ASun semifinal, Bellarmine won the conference, but because of bullshit NCAA rules (that aren’t for the kids), they have to sit out because they just came from DII last year…AND ALREADY WON A FUCKING CONFERENCE. In their place we have the ASun regular season champion and we give them a fucking 15 seed? WHAT ARE WE DOING?!?!?!?! Auburn.
Round of 32
1 Kansas vs 8 San Diego State
Shit’s about to get weird. This will be another rock fight for the Aztecs, they’ve got the strenth and the lenth to keep up with Kansas. I’m concerned about them winning outright, but because I’d have either of these teams losing in the next round, I’ll take SDSU.
5 Iowa vs 13 South Dakota State
Please, please, please let this game happen. If these two teams advance to play each other, expect an NBA-esque game with dudes running the floor and a zillion points. I’ll take Iowa in any matchup with that pace.
6 LSU vs 3 Wisconsin
No coach will kill the Tigers here. Kudos to whoever made this bracket with this matchup in mind. This should’ve been a great game, I’ll take the senior guard play and having a coach to carry the badgers.
7 USC vs 2 Auburn
Auburn looked like the number 1 overall team for a good portion of the regular season, but faltered down the stretch and got their shit pushed in by a hot A&M team in the SEC tournament. Both great defensively, but completely different styles offensively. USC will slow this game down to the pace that benefits Isaiah Mobley, we can’t be 100% biased against Pac-12 schools.
Sweet 16
8 San Diego State vs 5 Iowa
This is a difficult matchup for Iowa, they’re susceptible to teams that grind it out offensively and play good defense, but SDSU can’t score enough to keep up. Hammer the Hawkeyes
3 Wisconsin vs 7 USC
Wisconsin got a pretty good draw with an overseeded Colgate, a coachless Tigers team and a Pac-12 upset in the Round of 32 to get them to the Elite Eight.

5 Iowa vs 3 Wisconsin
A lot of chaos led to a B1G elite eight. I love Wisconsin’s ability to slow down the pace against the Hawkeyes while Johnny Davis, Brad Davidson and Chucky Hepburn have the firepower outscore Iowa. Wisconsin to the final four.
