Scared Money Don’t Make Money

I don’t love the board today after we had relatively good luck yesterday, but that’s not going to deter me from gambling my face off, responsibly. As the face of mid-major sports, it’s critical to give these teams the notoriety they deserve, even if Winthrop is going to beat you by a million (High Point).Continue reading “Scared Money Don’t Make Money”

Conference Tournament Madness: ASun, Horizon, Patriot, Northeast

One of the greatest times of the year is finally upon us. For some of you out there, March brings hope of warmer weather and a break from school; for us basketball fans we get the true madness before the madness–conference tournaments. These next 2 weeks before the tournament are usually more crazy than theContinue reading “Conference Tournament Madness: ASun, Horizon, Patriot, Northeast”

Sweet Sixteen Sunday

Other than Oregon State continuing their incredible run, everything was chalk yesterday and my picks stunk. Houston is still a fraudulent 2 seed and shouldn’t be trusted while the Orange shot 20% from the field. Baylor is for real (no duh) and Eric Musselman has a horseshoe shoved up his ass. Let’s get into someContinue reading “Sweet Sixteen Sunday”

West Region Preview

I’m okay with going 9-7 after a crazy day of hoops yesterday, and really we weren’t too far off from 11-5 because I took Texas Tech and Rutgers to both win… regardless in the NFL my picks might’ve barely missed the playoffs, so let’s fix that today. Today we’ll take a look at the WestContinue reading “West Region Preview”

NIT/First 4 preview

Although it was another losing Sunday, you gotta be fired up for the greatest 3 weeks of the year! It’s finally arrived, let’s goooo!! I really need to get right with the Good Lord and avoid picking games on the sabbath, but I can’t help myself. Still, I’ll take a 17-9 Championship Week with someContinue reading “NIT/First 4 preview”

Selection Sunday

What a Semi-Final Saturday. There are going to be a lot of really good, deserving mid-majors who will be disappointed today because the Oregon State Beavers won the PAC-12…WHAT?!?! I’m standing by my take, any team who loses to Oregon State doesn’t deserve to go to the big dance, so I’m sorry PAC-12, but youContinue reading “Selection Sunday”

Semi-Final Saturday

I said it suuuucks, to be, a CSU Raaaaam. Utah State knocked those losers into the NIT and HOW HE HAS THEM ABOVE BOISE STATE IS RIDICULOUS. If Memphis even puts up a fight against Houston today, they should replace Saint Louis and any team who loses to Oregon State should be automatically eliminated, includingContinue reading “Semi-Final Saturday”

Feel Good Friday

I’ll take a 4-3 day, but how could anyone let me follow through with the OU@Kansas over after I said all signs point toward this being a stalemate. My dumb brain can’t help but see two Big12 schools and hammer the over. There were some great games yesterday, but I got a bone to pickContinue reading “Feel Good Friday”

Mid-Week Observations

I take no accountability for getting all of the Mid-Major conference tournaments wrong, if you followed my advice (with 11-17 Oakland) call 1-800-GAMBLER. That being said, we’re about to get hot with some conference tournament matchups (more on that tomorrow), but let’s take a look at the Monday-Wednesday action so far. College Basketball Congratulations toContinue reading “Mid-Week Observations”

Conference Tournament Week

I really need to take Sundays off and focus on my inner peace and thank the good lord for my ability to pick games on Fridays/Saturdays. After going 6-2 Friday/Saturday, we turned around and went 1-4 on Sunday. Michigan played some uninspired basketball and several number 1 seeds went down in mid-major conference tournament play. Continue reading “Conference Tournament Week”
